CANACONA: Canacona Police booked the members of two families from Gulem, Shristal for assaulting and causing injuries to each other on Wednesday in a fight that erupted over some property dispute.
Police said a complaint was filed by Jibloo Gaonkar from Gulem against a woman stating that she assaulted him with a stone thereby injuring his left thigh and calf.
The complainant also stated that the woman and her other accomplices assaulted him with slaps and kicks, abused him in filthy language and threatened to kill him.
In a counter complaint filed against Gaonkar, the woman stated that Jibloo abused and assaulted her husband and herself.
She further stated that the Jibloo abused her husband, slapped and kicked him over a dispute over common property issue.
She also alleged that the Jibloo beat her son while trying to rescue her husband during the scuffle and also threatened to kill the family.
Canacona Police booked members of both the families under Sections 504, 323, 324, r/w 34 IPC. Investigations are on.
