CANACONA: Munalif Khan, a driver of a Mahindra Logan car, has been arrested for rash and negligent driving thereby causing an accident at Khalwadem, Canacona, NH-17.
The accused, a resident of Devabag, Nagarcem in Canacona, while proceeding towards Karwar from Chaudi, knocked down a Pleasure scooter at Khalwadem.
The rider Shivanand Kudtarkar, 43, and the pillion Arthav Kudtarkar, both residents of Agas Loliem, were injured in the accident.
Canacona police have registered offences under section 279 and 337 of IPC against the accused who has been enlarged on bail.
