MARGAO: Divaker Dessai, aged 50, of Mastimall, Canacona who was injured in a self accident while driving a scooter succumbed to his injuries at Goa Medical College (GMC) Bambolim hospital .
According to Cuncolim PI Tukaram Chavan, Dessai was proceeding from Canacona towards Balli on his scooter. On reaching Subdoli Bus Stand, he accidently banged against a monkey which was crossing the road. He fell down with the impact and suffered serious injuries.
Dessai was taken to Bali health centre and later shifted to Goa Medical College, Bambolim, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said that a case of unnatural death under Section 174 of CrPC has been registered.
