In his homily, Fr Cipriano Dias urged the parents not to lag behind in teaching their children virtues and at the same time warned them about providing worldly things to them. “It may be something good to provide your child with a mobile, while he/she is still in Std 5 to 6, a motorcycle while in SSC, but did you any time provide him/her with a bible?” Fr Dias asked.
Canacona pays respect to the saint
CANACONA: Hundreds of devotees attended the feast mass at Bhatpal’s St Francis Xavier Church on Wednesday. The relics of the saint, especially brought down on the feast day, were also venerated.
