MARGAO: Rohit Redkar, a 25-year- old youngster from Agonda, Canacona died in a fatal accident at Acsona, Benaulim when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by another vehicle.
According to Colva PI Therron D’Costa, on October 8, accused Nirmal Nobert Kullu, 25, from Jharkhand presently residing at Carmona drove his Eicher Canter in a rash and negligent manner and dashed into the deceased’s motorcycle.
The accused fled from the scene after hitting the motorcycle, but going further at the three road junction at Pulwaddo, Bhirondi, he dashed into a building and damaged a pharmacy.
Rohit was rushed to Goa Medical College hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to the injuries. Police have registered a case under Sections 279, 427, 304(A) of IPC and Section 134(a), (b) of the Motor Vehicles Act against the accused.
