In his complaint to Panjim Police Station through one Pankaj Khanna, the foreigner sought that his domestic workers, caretaker and driver be questioned in a bid to get a tip-off on the case.
As per the complaint, the Canadian and his family had flown to Mumbai on March 6 and returned the next evening to find the house in a mess and jewellery stolen.
“Upon opening the door, I realized the dead lock on the main door was not engaged. I opened the door and walked in to see that the whole house was in chaos. Almost all things such as diamond sets, silver bracelet, gold sets, silver coin, and two watches were missing,” he stated in his complaint.
Police suspect that the burglars might have either entered or exited the house by breaking open the bedroom window.
