Canadian woman succumbs to mishap injuries

A 41-year-old Canadian woman succumbed to her injuries she suffered in a road accident on December 13 at Canacona after battling for life for almost six days at GMC on Thursday night.
According to Canacona police, Cindy Campmei who was riding a two-wheeler (GA-08 C-7093) sustained head injuries when her motorcycle collided against an oncoming mini bus (GA-02 Z-5777) at Sadolxem.
Sources informed that she was first rushed to Canacona Community Health Centre and then shifted to Hospicio, Margao and later to GMC at Bambolim for advance medications as her condition was found to be serious.
Sources from police informed that she succumbed to injuries Thursday night and autopsy was conducted on Friday before handing over the body to her relatives for onward transportation to Canada.
PSI Prassanna Bhagat under the supervision of Canacona PI is investigating the case.
