MAPUSA: Mapusa police booked Luis Pinto, a resident of Canca, for allegedly assaulting a police constable and further obstructing him from performing his duty near Parra circle late night on Tuesday.
According to Mapusa police, three police staffers were deployed at Parra circle on Tuesday night and at around 2.30 am the accused reached the spot, he was stopped by the police and asked for vehicle documents.
However, the accused refused to produce the documents and started abusing the police and later pushed a constable down.
Mapusa police have booked the accused under Sections 504, 506, 323, 353 of IPC.
