“On that day, it will be five months since Fr Bismarque disappeared and was later found dead in the Mandovi. Justice has eluded us ever since, with our hopes put to rest after the Crime Branch closed the case as death due to accidental drowning, while his body is still lying at the GMC mortuary. Till today, not even an FIR has been filed in the case,” said Sudeep Dalvi, an activist and close friend of Fr Bismarque.
Dalvi, who is also the convenor of Musical Warriors, the group that had protested against land grabbing and environment destruction along with Fr Bismarque, promised unconditional support from Musical Warriors for any activity carried out by any group with the purpose of ensuring justice for Fr Bismarque.
