BICHOLIM: Seventeen-year-old rider Pravin Parshuram Moree from Marod-Candolim died on the spot when he lost control of his scooter and rammed it into a roadside tree near Nestle factory Ona-Maulingem, Bicholim on Saturday.
Pillion rider Yogesh Gawas from Sateriwada- Canca Verla sustained serious injuries.
According to Bicholim police, Pravin along with Yogesh was heading to Bicholim via Ladfe from Dodamarg. When they reached the blind turn near Nestle factory, Pravin lost control over the vehicle and rammed it into a roadside tree.
The impact was such that Pravin died on the spot, while Yogesh was rushed to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim where his condition is said to be critical. Pravin’s body was handed over to his relatives for final rites on Sunday.
