MAPUSA: Calangute Police recovered a body of a 25-year-old Candolim woman at Naikawado.
According to police, they received a call at 6.45 am informing them about a woman lying dead at Naikawado. The police team led by Jivba Dalvi immediately rushed to the site and recovered the body. The police found a mobile phone on basis of which they identified the woman as Richa (Aisha) D’Souza, wife of Vinci D’Souza. The police contacted the deceased’s husband and conducted preliminary inquiry which revealed that deceased is originally from Nepal. Calangute police registered a case of unnatural death.
Since the death occurred within seven years of marriage, the Mapusa SDM Chandrakant Shetkar initiated an inquiry and has summoned parents and relatives of the deceased. After conducting panchanama, Calangute police sent the body for post-mortem.
