VASCO: The new building of the Cansaulim Primary Health Center will likely be inaugurated in May this year. Earlier, its inauguration was scheduled in December 2019.

Commenting on the project, Cortalim MLA Alina Saldhana said that the building is nearly ready and its completion my take another two months. “The major building work has been completed and only the minor work is remaining which would be completed soon,” she said.

The project was delayed due to financial crunch.

“The government is pursuing the ongoing projects across the State and emphasis is being placed on completing these ongoing projects,” Saldhana added.

The new hospital building will have dedicated male, female, children and maternity wards; it will also have 7 OPDs, a trauma room and a casualty ward, an operation theater and an X-ray room.
