MAPUSA: An Uttar Pradesh native and a Deutsch national were arrested on Friday at Siolim by Anjuna Police for illegally possessing narcotic drugs worth Rs 52.91 lakh.

The arrested are identified as Arshiya Anjum (2) and Fabian Helmchen (39).
A team of Anjuna Police conducted a narcotic raid at Exotic Regency, Siolim on the wee hours of Friday. During the raid, the police team found the accused with 12 perforated paper sheets suspected to be LSD papers weighting 17.4 grams, one black colour sticky substance wrapped in transparent polythene bag suspected to be charas weighting 6.2 grams all worth Rs 52.91 lakh approximately.
The suspected drugs were seized by the team after following the provisions of NDPS Act. Both the accused have been booked under Sections 20(b) (ii)(A), 22(C)of NDPS Act. PSI Amir Taral is investigating the case.
The raiding team comprised of PSI Vidyesh Pilgaonkar, HC Mohan Parab, PC Tirthraj Mhamal, Shrikrishna Redkar, Mahendra Mandrekar, Rajesh Gokharnekar, Arjun Sawant and LPC Nadima Naikwadi.
