VASCO: Senior citizen from Cansaulim died in an accident at Cortalim when a Maruti car in which he was travelling, rammed into the road railing near Maruti temple at Cortalim.
Verna Police said that a Maruti Omni car was proceeding from Agasaim via Cortalim junction towards Cansaulim. The car driver fell asleep and rammed his car into the road railing near Maruti temple at Cortalim. Due to which Menino Jose Mario, aged 69, resident of Cansaulim suffered injuries. He was immediately taken to Goa Medical College hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Verna police have registered a case of unnatural death. PSI Kamat is investigating.
