PANJIM: The Corruption Abolition Party (CAP) has lodged a complaint against the officers of the Police Department and the Election Commission of India (ECI) for allegedly depriving about 900 Goans from casting vote in the general election 2024.
In a complaint lodged with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Altinho, the party has claimed that till date nothing has been done regarding voting of about 900 police staff which include DySP, PI, ASI and constables, about casting of their votes in the general Lok Sabha election of 2024.
The 18th Lok Sabha elections in the State were concluded on Tuesday, May 7, with both its Lok Sabha seats going into polling in phase 3.
The Corruption Abolition Party had fielded Harishchandra Naik as its candidate from South Goa Parliamentary constituency.
