MARGAO: South Goa MP, Captain Viriato Fernandes, met Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnav, in Delhi, requesting special trains for pilgrims travelling between Goa and Vailankanni.
According to Capt Viriato, he “handed over representation for sanctioning special trains to cater to the pilgrims travelling from Goa to Vailankanni and back between August 27 to September 8, 2024.”
“The Union Minister promised to provide the special trains to meet the requirement of the pilgrims. I had taken up the matter based on the request of many lay faithful from across Goa,” he said.
