PONDA: The Mardol Police arrested one Satosh Shankarappa Naik Akde, 37, a resident of Haldonwada, Khandola Marcel and native of Belgavi for raping a minor school girl.
The incident took on 15 August when the accused lured and took the victim in his car and then allegedly raped her.
The relatives of the girl later filed a complaint following which the Mardol police conducted an inquiry and arrested the accused.
The accused is a car driver and residing in a rented room in the neighbourhood.
