CANACONA: A Zen Car driver was injured when he met with an accident at Char Rasta in Canacona on Friday morning. The front portion of the car was totally damaged. Sources at the Canacona Police Station informed that Santosh Kurtarkar, driver of the car (KA-30-M-2276) was proceeding to his native place Banda in Karwar. When he crossed the railway overbridge he lost control of his vehicle which veered on the right side of the road dashing against everything that was on its path till it came to a halt.
An eyewitness said the driver was lucky enough to escape with few injuries. Fortunately, no pedestrian or any two wheeler was coming on the opposite side, otherwise it could have been disastrous, said another source present at the site.
