VASCO: A car fell from the mini bridge near Rima Bar at Chicalim during the wee hours of Friday, injuring four persons.
All four, namely Ezone D’Souza from Cortalim, Meshvin Silveira and Audumbar Kamlekar from Goa Velha and Evin Rodriguez from Agassaim have been admitted to GMC hospital, Bambolim for treatment.
According to sources, the car was travelling from Cortalim to Vasco when the driver lost control of the car near Rima bar and fell from the mini bridge. The Vasco fire station team led by official Dilip Bicholkar reached the site immediately and rescued the victims from the car. The Vasco police conducted the panchnama.
Locals claimed that a taxi had fallen in a similar way earlier, and alleged that the overgrown bushes on the stretch hinder the judgment of the drivers, especially at night.
