PONDA: A WagnoR driver escaped with injuries after his vehicle plunged into a 30-feet gorge at Opa in Khandepar, on Tuesday. According to sources, while proceeding to Ponda from Opa, Durgadas Gaonkar hit a big roadside bolder after losing control of his vehicle and then plunged into the 30-feet gorge.
The Ponda fire personnel rushed to the site and rescued the driver who got trapped in the damaged vehicle. Gaonkar was later admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
