MARGAO: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Konkan Railway has embarked on an ambitious project to beautify the Carambolim lake in a bid to draw more migratory birds and add beauty to the lake.
To attract more winged species to the Carambolim lake, the Chairman & Managing Director of Konkan Railway and the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, met recently to put in place a road map.
KRC Chief Public Relations Officer, Vaishali Patange said since the Karmali station on the Konkan Railway rail route is adjoining the Carambolim lake, increasing green cover would help in attracting migratory birds.
