His Eminence Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrao who
left Goa as Archbishop, arrived in Goa from Rome for the first time as a Cardinal,
on Monday morning. He was welcomed at Dabolim Airport by with bouquets by Vicar
General Fr Jose Remedio, clergy, parishioners and by Legislators. Cardinal
Filipe Neri Ferrao also met parishioners of Chicalim, who kept overnight vigil
and prayed with them and blessed them.
Archbishop Ferrao was elevated as Cardinal on 27th
August 2022. He is the sixth
Cardinal of Goan origin but the first Archbishop of Goa and Daman to be
elevated since 1557
