A caretaker of a bull was gored by a fighter bull at Durga-Chinchinim during a bullfight on Sunday evening.

The names of the two accused were provided as Oswald Sequeira and Costa Leitao, both residents of Chinchinim.
Sources in the know said the bullfight was witnessed by a strong Sunday crowd, before the Cuncolim police could come in and intervene and arrested the owners.
PI Shirodkar admitted that the caretaker of one of the bull was gored by the bull, but said he has no idea where he is convalescing.
The Colva police were also kept busy on Sunday with calls coming in of a planned bullfight at Benaulim.
A PCR van was dispatched to Benaulim this morning and patrolling was maintained to keep the bull fight enthusiasts at bay.
For the personnel Colva police station, they have a date with bullfights during the weekends, to ensure that the weekend goes bull fight free along the coastal belt.
Incidentally, it is learnt that bullfights had taken place a week ago at Dovondem area of Margao, but the fights apparently escaped the attention of the Margao police, which was recently locked horns with bullfight lovers in Navelim.
