PERNEM: A cargo container proceeding towards Pernem overturned and fell on earth moving machinery (JCB) which was carrying out road cutting work for highway expansion near Redkar Hospital, Dhargal, on Friday morning.
No casualties were reported. The driver of cargo container and JCB operator escaped unhurt. Sources informed that while the cargo driver was giving way to a vehicle coming from behind went at the side and lost control.
The locals claimed that absence of signboard or reflectors at the roadside led to this incident.
