The entire village will be divided sportingly into seven groups representing the seven colours of the Rainbow — red, orange, yellow, green, blue, white and purple.
While the cultural programme will begin with a brass band performance in the afternoon, the festival will begin with mass at Our Lady of Succour Church followed by sporting events.
Last year around 3,000 people participated. Preparation in the village starts from the July. Organiser Cheryl said that the main aim of the day is ekvott (togetherness). The whole village is divided into seven colours red, green, blue, yellow, orange, purple and white. Each group has to dress according to the seven colours.
Young and old will get together to share their ideas and work together to give their best. Different types of sweet like patoleo, hole, shirloleo, godshea etc are prepared by the group.
