MARGAO: After the Town and Country Planning Department informed the Carmona Panchayat about it inability to go for joint site inspection of the Raheja project site, the panchayat has decided to go ahead with the inspection of the land on its own.
The developer though has dared the panchayat and has informed the panchayat about their ongoing construction activity in spite of request of the panchayat to keep all construction activity on hold. The TCP ‘show-cause and stop work’ order is however heard of being in process presently and will reach the developer any time before the weekend.
The body has resolved to hold an independent site inspection of the site in first week of September to verify the ongoing works.
The panchayat has wished to have the TCP minister to attend site inspection and see the ground realities of the Raheja site and the village of Carmona.
Meanwhile, the panchayat has passed a motion thanking the TCP minister for his intervention and his directions to TCP to issue ‘show-cause and stop work’ order on Rahejas.
