PANJIM: A case has been registered with the State Police Complaints
Authority (SPCA) against PI Gurudas Kadam for not taking cognizance of a complaint
filed by Armin Pires.
Pires states that he had filed a complaint at Cuncolim Police station
after a person overtook him stopped in front of his car and rained blows on his
face and lips and later abused him with bad words.
Pires says he filed a complaint at Cuncolim police station, which was
recorded as non cognizable. He says he found out that the true facts of the
case were not recorded in the complaint.
He states he was forced to file an application under RTI as the
Cuncolim Police Inspector and the respondent did not take action in any manner
when an offence was clearly made out.
Pires has demanded that disciplinary action be taken against PI Kadam
and he be punished as per the law, and he be directed to register an offence
against the accused.
