‘Case monitoring software soon’

During an interaction with the South Goa MLAs on administrative issues, Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte said software to monitor the cases on daily basis will be launched soon and added that Special Saturday courts for quick disposal of mundkarial and tenancy cases will begin in October.

During an interaction with the South Goa MLAs on administrative issues, Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte said software to monitor the cases on daily basis will be launched soon and added that Special Saturday courts for quick disposal of mundkarial and tenancy cases will begin in October. TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai was also present during the interaction as the MLAs complained of “ill-informed” bureaucracy slowing down process of several works. To this, the minister promised to have orientation for all the officials to help speed up the work. Sanguem MLA informed that there are cases where the Deputy Collectors and Mamlatdars have stopped processing files only following complaints against the work.  “The officials have to be informed and told regarding their powers and duties as it has been seen that some small complaints have stopped works of public,” said Curchorem MLA Cabral. The Revenue Minister said, “Workshops on soft skills will be held for deputy collectors and mamlatdars to make them understand their powers and duties to expedite the cases of public importance.”  The Minister said that the status of agriculture tenancy cases is being reviewed by the South Collector and the administration plans to start Saturday Courts for disposal of cases of agriculture tenancy and mundkarial cases as soon as possible.
The minister also informed that case monitoring software will be launched soon which will help monitor the cases on daily basis.
On regularisation of structures, the minister said, “On regularisation we had promised and now from October we will be going with teams at the site wherein the applicants will be charged Rs 10,000 per application for beginning the process. The money will be later adjusted in the final payment. The process has started for applications received only till February 28, 2014”.
Khaunte along with the TCP Minister has announced that the Collectorate canteen will start by first week of October.
The minister has decided to use the services of a retired PWD Engineer for putting the South Collectorate complex to optimum use of so that all departments are shifted here.
