PANJIM: The Panjim police have registered an offence against unidentified person(s) for fraudulently withdrawing Rs 72,000 from an ATM using the card belonging to a defence officer. One Dona Suares has complained that unknown persons withdrew Rs 79, 237 from the account of her husband Commander Keith Anthony S Suares from his ICICI Bank branch office in Panjim.
The cash was withdrawn on January 22-24. Police have registered a cognisable complaint against the alleged culprit(s).
