CANACONA: The owner of cashew plantation incurred a loss of over Rs 25,000 in a fire reported on Thursday at Mudkud in Agonda village.

CANACONA: The owner of cashew plantation incurred a loss of over Rs 25,000 in a fire reported on Thursday at Mudkud in Agonda village.
Fire and emergencies office at Canacona said that they received a fire call on Thursday afternoon that cashew trees have caught fire at Mudkud in a village at Agonda.
Sources at the fire and emergencies office said that immediately a fire tender was dispatched to the site and it took over an hour to douse the fire for the team lead by leading fire fighter Ravi Devidas and consisting of fire fighters Costantino Colaco, Chetan Prabhu, Vasant Velip and driver-operator Ashok Gaonkar.
