MARGAO: The Additional Sessions Judge today rejected the anticipatory bail application of Hemant Desai, the murder accused from Curchorem.
It may be recalled that the Curchorem police had on Saturday arrested a mother of Hemant Desai for murdering her nephew Suryakant Desai. Her son, Hemant is also accused in the murder which took place at Xelvona-Curchorem.
According to Curchorem police the accused woman Shevanti (55) and her son Hemant Dessai (28) hit the deceased with a pick-axe behind his head after a quarrel over a property dispute.
The accused Hemant has been absconding from the place. Police have registered a complaint and booked both for the crime.
