Casino Royale put on notice

The Home Department has issued a show cause notice to Casino Royale asking why no action should be taken against it for failing to produce a license from Director General of Shipping for operating casino here.
The notice was issued Monday by Joint Secretary (Home) S S Naik.
The temporary license issued by DG Shipping to Casino Royale expired on February 18, 2009. Despite much hue and cry, the show cause notice has gone today nearly a month after the temporary license expired.
Casino Royale operator has been given seven days to produce a fresh license or to face action.
