Cattle menace continues to haunt Siolim residents

MAPUSA: Loitering of stray cattle on the streets of Siolim village has posed a threat to the locals and commuters moving within and through the Siolim roads.

People not looking after their cattle and leaving them on streets have created menace in Siolim and is on rise day-by-day. These abandoned animals are now causing problem to daily commuters as the local body has failed to curb it. 

The cattle roam around on the roads which later affect smooth movement of traffic.

There are roughly 30 to 40 stray cattle which one can come across on the roads of Siolim everyday especially during the evening. Along with cattle, dogs also cause problem to commuters.

It is also learnt that garbage is one of the reasons for this stray cattle and dogs to move around in the village in search of food which is thrown on road side.
