MARGAO: The Cavelossim gram sabha on Sunday demanded construction of an eight-metre wide access road to connect the Cavelossim-Assolna Bridge.
At the meeting held on Sunday, the gram sabha deliberated on the road access to the bridge, connecting the village to Assolna. The panchayat had in the past had taken a decision for a road, but the road width was not decided.
Sarpanch Viola N A Costa said the villagers were asked to take a call on the road width, adding that it was finally resolved to have an eight meter road.
Villagers at the gram sabha also questioned the Sarpanch Costa whether she had checked road access to the beach front in the village and demanded that inspection of the same be carried along with villagers.
