The announcement was made during a meeting convened by Sawaikar and South Goa Collector Sachin Shinde to review the progress of the SAGY on Thursday.
“The village has been advised to formulate a development plan, and subsequently the scheme will be designed,” said Sawaikar.
He further informed that Shinde’s guidance is being sought for the execution of projects in Khola village. He added that the village, which did not have an ATM, would soon get a State Bank of India ATM and also a Bank of Baroda branch.
Sawaikar also stated that the work of an Agri Clinic is underway and would be completed within a month. “For electrical improvements, the government has allotted Rs 3.5 crore. The work will be initiated in some months,” he added.
Under the SAGY, Rs 45 lakh will be allotted to improve the infrastructure of schools and their grounds in Khola. The beautification of the Cabo de Rama Fort will also be undertaken soon.
The Public Works Department has also been asked to move quickly for the net vending apparatus for fishermen of Khola.
