PANJIM: Crime Branch’s (CB) plea challenging the anticipatory bail granted to former chief minister Digambar Kamat has been entangled in a maze of adjournments; a discouraging development for the agency that has sought his custodial interrogation in the infamous Louis Berger bribery scam.
The special leave application, filed in the last week of October 2015 has seen six adjournments till date. A senior officer said the apex court has not heard the case even once except at the application’s admission stage.
With the latest adjournment on Tuesday, CB has not been informed when the matter will be heard next.
