CBI seeks to quash charges against Dudu

PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa will hear a petition filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 11 seeking to quash charges against alleged drug peddler David Driham alias Dudu, and instead frame charges against Goa Police personnel involved in the case.

CBI had filed the petition last week stating that the then Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) sleuths had falsely implicated Dudu in the drugs case in February 2010.
In the original chargesheet filed by Anti Narcotics Cell , Dudu was framed for possession of drugs and for being involved in drug trade.
CBI, after taking over the investigation, found that accused cops had planted drugs on Dudu and had arrested him in a staged raid. CBI sleuths then filed a supplementary charge sheet against accused cops.
