CBI summons Fiona, to reach Goa on July 30

Fiona Mackeown, Brit mother of the deceased Scarlett Keeling Eden has rescheduled her trip for Friday morning. Fiona was originally due to reach Goa on Tuesday evening.
“She failed to get air tickets to Goa as the bookings are full owing to the school vacation period in London. But she will indeed reach here on Friday when she is asked to depose before the Children’s Court,” her legal representative Advocate Vikram Varma said.
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) earlier this month issued her summons to appear on July 30 in connection with the death of her teenage daughter Scarlett. The school girl’s bruised semi-clad corpse was found on the Anjuna shore on early February 18, 2008 morning.
This was, incidentally at the time when Fiona along with her remaining children and her boyfriend was touring Gokarna, in Karnataka. Scarlett was left in the care of her 25-year-old local boyfriend Julio Lobo.
Lobo, shack waiter Murali Sagar, other locals and policemen are among 18 of the total 72 witnesses testified so far.
Two locals, Samson D’Souza and Placido Carvalho are chargesheeted for culpable homicide, sexual assault and destroying evidence.
