CURCHOREM: Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) will elect its new chairperson and vice chairperson on December 13. The resignation submitted by CCMC chairperson Patricia Fernandes was accepted by the office of Directorate of Municipal Administration (DMA).
The post of vice chairperson was vacant after Shrikant Gaonkar resigned. The chairperson and vice chairperson resigned as per the agreement among the councillors to share the seat for one year. A special meeting to elect new chairperson and vice chairperson is fixed on December 13 and Quepem Deputy Collector Ajit Panchwadkar will be the presiding officer, informed Chief Officer Agnelo Fernandes.
