QUEPEM: Sub-Divisional Magistrate Quepem Nilesh Dhaigodkar on Friday informed that all 22 booths of 15-ward Curchorem-Cacora Municipal Council (CCMC) were ready for polls.
He revealed that all COVID restrictions would be followed and in every booth one police constable and one home guard have been deployed.
According to Dhaigodkar, 110 officials and 44 police and guards would be on ground to accomplish the CCMC polls.
When asked about the facilities planned for COVID patients, he said that total four patient in CCMC jurisdiction and out of that two are admitted in sub-district hospital the other two would be mostly staying at home. “If they are ready to come for voting on polling day then all arrangement are made along with COVID patient kit for the safety,” said Dhaigodkar.
For the CCMC polls Shankar Gaokar has been appointed as observer. Assistant returning officer Quepem mameldars Laxmikant Desai, joint mameldar Jitendra Bugde, two sector officers, flying squad and additional magistrate team would be present to maintain the law and order situation.
The 64 candidates in fray completed their campaigning, door to door visit peacefully on Thursday.
