CCP adds two more vehicles to trim trees

PANJIM: The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) on Friday inaugurated two more heavy machinery equipped vehicles for tree pruning. 

As informed by CCP Commissioner Agnelo A J Fernandes, the maximum unsupported height of crane fitted in the above said heavy duty vehicle is 18-metre and it operates on the concept of hydraulic system. 

Speaking to the media persons, Agnelo said, “Each vehicle was purchased at a cost of Rs 29 lakh. As far as pruning of trees was concerned, our labours were facing the problem to climb and trim the branches. One such vehicle is already in the custody of the CCP. The procurement of yet two heavy duty vehicles will ease their work.”
