PANJIM: Councillor of Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) Manisha Manerkar on Monday wrote to the CCP, bringing to the notice of CCP Mayor and Commissioner regarding the issue of road blockage the people of Panjim have to face due to haphazard parking of vehicles on both sides of the road, particularly at the stretch between Gitanjali Art and Sangam lodge.
Manerkar further added saying that the traffic gets congested due to the vehicles parked on either side of the road in an un-disciplinary manner. As a result of this, it becomes difficult for the locals and also the passersby to travel via this road.
Stating that this situation has become common throughout the year, Councillor said the locals are fed up with such a situation and are demanding to take the necessary action in consultation with the CCP and Traffic Cell.
