PANJIM: The High Court of Bombay at Goa has directed the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) Commissioner to conduct a revised Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of 2007 on the basis of observations made and to consider the petitioner Bharati Sadre for the post of the UDC if found eligible, with three months from the date of the order.
The petitioner being aggrieved by not considering her candidature for the promotional post of upper division clerk (UDC) as well as the post of municipal inspector, filed a writ petition before the Court in 2009.
Sadre belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) communities was appointed as a sweeper in 1991 and was promoted to the post of the supervisor in 1997.
