PANJIM: The Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has initiated a programme to relocate homeless people from the streets of the capital city.
“Some of these people are a nuisance, can become violent and pose a danger to the public including dirtying areas and harassing locals. Relocation Programme will be an ongoing process by CCP,” said Panjim Deputy Mayor Vasant Agshikar.
Over the last two weeks, two exercises were conducted and fourteen homeless persons were found in the first exercise and 15 in the second.
