PANJIM: The Corporation of the City of Panjim (CCP) has assured full and active cooperation for the Smart City Mission, which is being implemented by Imagine Panjim Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) in coordination with various agencies.
All such agencies executing various works in the State capital under the Smart City Mission made a presentation of their projects for CCP councillors on Friday.
The Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resources Department (WRD), Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA), Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) and Architecture Autonomous made power-point presentations of their respective ongoing projects.
Speaking to Herald post the meeting, CCP Deputy Mayor Vasant Agshikar said that they were quite impressed with the quality of works and felt these projects will help transform the capital city and also address various issues.
He gave the example of how works can be monitored from the Integrated Command Centre which will have GPS tracking and that besides the putting up CCTV surveillance system, there would be barcodes for houses for waste collection.
He also said that most of the tenders are in the advanced stage and that the work orders should be issued soon.
