PANJIM: Ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) has decided to address all civic-related issues by launching an app “I change my city.”
Aimed at maintaining cleanliness of the capital city, the general public will be able to convey their grievances on a range of issues such as non-collection of waste, unattended dead animals, dirty streets, etc. Urinating in public or open spaces, which is otherwise penal offence has also found its presence on the app. The CCP has vouched to take action against anyone caught in the act.
“Cleanliness of parks and playgrounds, no water supply in public toilets, clogged public toilets, waste disposal in public place and no electricity in public toilets as well as in public gardens can also be complained to the CCP. All the 10 civic issues are listed in the app and a registered user can bring it to the notice of the corporation by uploading a picture with landmark to facilitate quick handling of the issue,” an official said.
The corporation has assured to provide regular updates on the status of complaints posted by the user while the residents will also be free to submit their feedbacks.
