PANJIM: Following allegations by councillors into the pay parking fiasco, the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) has convened a special meeting at 11 am on Monday, October 9, to discuss and approve the single-point agenda — tendering process of pay parking in the city areas.
During ordinary CCP meeting held last week, opposition councillors had alleged that pay parking contract was extended on two occasions without following procedure and without discussing it in the Corporation meeting.
CCP Mayor Rohit Monserrate had assured them that he would convene a special meeting to discuss and approve the pay parking in the notified areas.
