PANJIM: The Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) Commissioner Agnelo Fernandes by an order on Thursday has withdrawn the trade licence issued to Tejas Kochrekar, proprietor of Harman Chahawala to run a tea stall erected by him at the Kadamba Bus Terminus, Panjim.
The CCP in its order has directed Kochrekar to cease all operations immediately as the construction of the ground plus one tea stall was without a construction licence from the CCP and developmental permission from the Panjim Planning and Development Authority (PPDA).
Acting on a complaint filed by social activist Adv Aires Rodrigues, the CCP had on January 17 issued a show cause notice to Kochrekar, who is the brother-in-law of Vasco BJP-backed councillor and Kadamba Transport Corporation Chairman Deepak Naik.
Adv Rodrigues had pointed out that the illegal structure was blocking the pathway and compromising the safety and comfort of passengers using the Panjim bus terminus.
