PANJIM: Corporation of the City of Panjim (CCP) Commissioner Ajit Roy on Friday said he has written to Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) asking them to keep the corporation in the loop so as to prevent duplication of city works.
“We have already written to GSIDC asking them to keep CCP in the loop to prevent the duplication of city works taken up by both – the city municipal body and GSIDC,” Roy said.
Panjim Mayor Surendra Furtado had issued a note to the commissioner to immediately contact the GSIDC managing director to prevent duplication of city works.
The Mayor’s letter states that CCP is also taking up development works as per the requests of ward councillors.

“One such work for which the CCP has prepared estimates for development/beautifications is the garden at Caranzalem,” the letter states, adding that it is learnt that GSIDC has also tendered for beautification of this garden.
