PANJIM: The Panjim police have booked an unknown motorcyclist and a pillion rider for snatching a mobile phone worth Rs 20,000 from a pedestrian in Panjim.
According to the police, one Naushad Ansari, a resident of Bhatlem, Panjim lodged a complaint stating that unknown persons forcefully snatched his mobile phone, worth Rs 20,000 and fled from the spot towards Bhatlem Masjid side.
The incident occurred at 8.25 pm on January 10. An FIR has been registered under sections 356 and 379 read with 34 IPC, police said, adding further investigation is in progress.
